MiG-17 Engine Runs for the First Time in 5+ Years!

The museums own MiG-17 has had its first engine run in quite a few years this week, a great update to the museums progress with its aircraft. With this engine run, we can say that all of our aircraft we are working with are well on their ways to becoming fully airworthy again. The Fresco is in need of some TLC, corrosion control and avionics work as well as some inspections to be legally airworthy again however it is right on track with the promising sign of life with an engine run and afterburner test.
